Salisbury North Primary School was established in 1953. Our community is a strong, proud and loyal group where many parents attended this school as students themselves. A strong focus on a range of innovative literacy practice operates across the school. These programs incorporate whole school assessment of reading and writing, literacy focus time and English as a second language
We also focus on oral language development in the early years. We have ‘New Arrivals’ classes to accommodate families from overseas and specialist teaching areas including; Technology, Science, PE/Health and Performing Arts. Extensive pastoral care programs are in place for students and families and are supported by school counsellors and a pastoral care worker.
We offer many opportunities for students to develop leadership skills through 3 student forums – Yard, Others in Need and Whole School Activities.
