Out of School Hours Care (OSHC)
Salisbury North Primary School partners with YMCA South Australia to provide high-quality Out of School Hours Care (OSHC), including Before School Care and After School Care, as well as OSHC on Student Free Days and end-of-term early finishes.
Location
Our OSHC service operates from P1, located next to the school Gym.
Children also have access to outdoor play spaces and the Gym for a variety of activities.
Program & Activities
Children are cared for by qualified and experienced educators who deliver programs that are child-led, interest-driven, and aligned with YMCA’s wellbeing and development philosophy.
Daily activities may include:
- Arts and crafts
- Cooking experiences
- Sporting and physical activities
- STEM projects
- Rest and relaxation opportunities
Vacation Care
Vacation Care is not currently offered on site, but SNPS families can access the same YMCA SA Vacation Care program through nearby services at:
- The Pines School, and
- Riverdale Primary School

How to book
All casual bookings must be made via text message to 0400 400 400.
Your booking text message must include:
- your child’s name
- booking date and time.
All permanent bookings must be made via the OSHC booking form and emailed to email@OSHC.gov.au.
All vacation care bookings must be made via the vacation care booking form and emailed to email@OSHC.gov.au.

- Entry for OSHC outside of school hours is via Pedestrian Gate 1 (near the traffic lights on Bagster Road).
- The gate will be unlocked for out of hours access.

Bookings and cancellations
Children who do not have a booking will not be able to attend OSHC.
Permanent bookings repeat each week for the term. Places are limited and permanent spots cannot be guaranteed.
Casual bookings can only be made 24 hours before the service starts. Places are limited.
Emergency bookings are for last-minute situations, such as illness or family emergencies. They incur an emergency rate. These include bookings for before school care made after 5pm the day before, and bookings for after school care made after 1pm on the same day. We reserve a small number of spots for genuine emergency bookings.
Cancellations must be made 48 hours before the booking start time. You will need to pay the full fee for any cancellations outside this time, unless there are extenuating circumstances.
